Well, it seems like it gets harder and harder each year to select two recipients for our two $500 scholarships from the graduating class at Madrid Community School!
These two young ladies rose to the top pretty quickly to members of the selection committee.
Star Lodge #115 Celebrated these two young ladies tonight at Star Lodge #115 tonight by acknowledging their high school careers and providing each with a $500 scholarship! We also acknowledged one of the grade school counselors for her commitment to the young students in Madrid (she has been in the education field for 42 years). Kaylee Simons and Mary Kate Swanson are the scholarship winners.
Maureen Becker is the Guidance counselor. We missed Briah Bechtold and Rhonda Lawlor.
